These photos show what a most interesting and entertaining afternoon members of the group spent at the Museum on Tuesday, 27th September 2026. The three retired firefighters who conducted the tour were excellent in communicating some of their knowledge regarding the development of the Birmingham (later West Midlands) Fire Service, the personnel and types of equipment, with especial emphasis on both of the World Wars. One can see that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, although you might notice that no-one was prepared to go down the greasy pole!
