In 2022 Chester Road Railway Station was adopted by Chester Road Station Friends, a group of local people who wanted to improve the station environment, make it more environmentally friendly and make it more interesting for passengers.

One of their aims was to create a history board about the station. This is a result of the research that was carried out.
